My local favorite alt rock radio station is reaching back to the 90s when they grew their roots and they are asking people to name their favs from that decade. Who were you listening to then? What/who did you like the most?
I would have to say most of my favorites revolve around grunge or post-punk (to me) stuff. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots...Green Day, The Offspring. They all rocked...I loved the minor tones in the grunge era...I still love it and listen to a lot of Soundgarden, AIC, and PJ today. Love that all three bands are still putting new stuff out in some form (maybe not an entire CD of new material but *something* new).
In fact, as I type this, AIC/"Rooster" is playing on the radio! :)
